Will this work to loose weight?
Hello everyone, I have written several questions on here about loosing weight. But I am tired of being fat. I want to be skinny and look fabulous and not run out of breathe easily at the gym. First of all I have been eating really, really shi**y the past few weeks. I have been eating ice-cream, fried food, chinese food, and processed salty food. I am ready to start making better choices, and change my life and diet permanently. For liquids I will only be drinking unsweetened tea, tons of water, and some juice (when I say some juice I mean less than a cup a day). For food I am going to try to eat only: Fresh fruits, fresh vegtables, lots of nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts, etc.), dried fruit, very low calorie dressings (for salads), and perhaos brown rice. My plan is to do this diet/lifestyle for 2 weeks (and I will be treating myself only once a week, like 1 scoop of ice-cream/week) and after those two weeks I am going to start the lemonade cleanse and do that cleanse for 15-20 days. And then as soon as I am done with the cleanse I am going to eat only fresh fruit and vegtables, nuts, and dried fruit while treating myself ONLY once a week. I also workout 5-6 days a week for atleast an hour. Does this sound healthy, and will this work? Thankyou.

Hi I have read what you are going to do, this does not sound like a very good diet.
If you are serious about loosing weigh, I suggest that you eat three small meals a day starting with Breakfast very important choose cereal with no sugar if you can stand it or just one teaspoon of sugar on cereal, Porridge is very good and fills you up. Then for lunch have chicken and salad or sandwich with meat and salad or just salad followed by low fat yogurt and some fruit. Then have your evening meal of vegetables and meat one small boiled potato or plain rice followed by another piece of fruit. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day try to cut out tea and coffee. No fizzy drinks No juice unless it is fresh juice small glass.
Do exercise 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes.
This will work and you will lose weight and see results in a couple of weeks.
Only when you have lost 2-4 pounds treat yourself once a week.
Try it and it will work honest and as for the lemonade diet forget it you need your protein and vitamins which you get from the veg and fruit and fish chicken meat etc.

You still need protein in your diet plan.

I think that if you gradually bring in the healthy food, gradually build up your workouts, it’ll work better, you won’t crave the unhealthy stuff as much, cause even though you’ll be eating healthy, you’ll probably still be hungry and will eat more.
But that’s just my opinion (:

You should seriously consider seeing a nutritionist or registered dietician. Long term weight loss comes from lifestyle changes, not fad diets or cleanses. Fad diets can actually permanently screw up your metabolism and cause you to gain weight in time. They result in quick weight loss which is deceiving because long term its a set up for failure.
