Hi everyone. I am a former anorexic and I am sick of worrying about what I eat on a constant basis.
I am 23, 5′3” and 112lbs. I exercise everyday on an incline treadmill for between 30 and 40 minutes, plus I lift 5lb weights and do sit ups and leg lunges every other day. So, I am pretty active for someone who sits at a desk at work all day.

Anyway, here is an exact day of what I eat. Obviously it changes day to day, but this is a good example of a day of eating for me.

Breakfast – 2 coffee’s with fat-free cream mixed with milk. Sometimes 1 Tbs sugar.
1 bagel with either peanut butter or melted cheese. (Today I had a thin bagel with 1 hashbrown in the middle)

Morning snack: 1 pudding or yogurt.
1 granola bar
1 mini orange
(Sometimes I’ll have baked chips as my snack at work and from time to time, regular chips, but only 1 serving)

Lunch: 2 rice cakes with peanut butter and nutella in the center (made as a sandwich)
Sometimes I’ll just have 2 cookies and some herbal tea instead of an actual lunch. On a lot of days, I will just snack throughout the day on rice cakes, baked chips and fat-free candy (Since I am so bored at work, lol)

Dinner: Usually healthy, example, tonight I’m having 1 serving of boiled non-fried noodles with vegetables cooked in olive oil and seasoning.
(Every so often, I will have fish and chips, the frozen kind from the grocery store and I only have a handful of fries and 1 serving of fish (since it’s the battered kind)

That’s usually it for my days. On certain days, I will treat myself to a chocolate bar, but I either skip lunch or exercise more on those days.

I don’t eat fast food often at all, like, maybe once every 10 weeks!
I don’t drink any juice or sugary drinks, I stick to water, herbal tea, coffee, diet soda.

Is this somewhat normal? I love junk, but I fear weight gain. I don’t eat all healthy foods, but I don’t overeat on fat and junk. I eat a lot of sugar and fat-free foods and exercise 7 days a week.

Will I maintain my weight like this? I am always afraid I am overeating and that’s why I can’t stay off my treadmill. On weekends, I do even more exercise and on days where I feel I have overeaten, I will exercise double-time. I can’t even sit still on Christmas Day! Not a day goes by I don’t exercise and I’m afraid that if one day passes and I am sedentary, I will gain weight.

Do I eat okay? Normal? Enough?

Today’s calories are about 1,360 and my BMR is about 1350-1400 a day, plus I exercise.
Though, sometimes I eat between 1600 and 1700 calories with exercise.

Thanks for all the help!

Ok, I see so many freaking advertisements, and I’m kinda tired of them.

"Wanna know how to lose weight, buy my book for 100 bux." It’s like… why?

I don’t exercise much, and I’m of average weight, I don’t do diets, I tend to eat whenever I’m hungry, I just have these love handle-ish things I don’t like. I don’t want to even attempting to do sit ups. Is there some type of standing exercise or activity I can do to keep that mid section fit… that doesn’t involve me wasting an hour, drinking/eating shit I don’t like, and getting sweaty and disgusting? I would usually swim, but I don’t have a pool, and im scared to mix relaxed hair with chlorine >_> SO yeah… any suggestions? I’m not looking to become a body builder, I’m looking to maintain my current figure till I die!!!

Oh yeah I don’t consume alcohol, don’t smoke, and my main drink of choice is iced tea. Sadly do eat pizza often/chinese food, I’ll probably need to cut that down a little, but I’m perfectly capable to make myself chicken and some spinach or whatever.

I play tennis twice a week. Today I had tennis for an hour, so porobaly burned a good amount of calories.

Breakfast:
Half of a Slim Fast shake

Lunch:
Nothing

Dinner:
I am going to have Chinese food, I usually eat a lot of that, since it’s my favorite food. (:

*I dring a lot of water and tea throughout the day, so my drinks don’t have a lot of calories. Plus, I do some sit-ups/crunches during the day.

Please, don’t tell me I’ll actually "gain weight" from this diet because I don’t believe that, so don’t give me that kind of explanation. I just want to know if that is considered or on the border line on being called "anorexic." And please don’t give me or suggest any diet plans. I just want a yes or no answer. Thank you.

P.S. The other days I don’t have tennis, I jog. I am not over weight, I just want to be skinny like a lot of people I see.

I started drinking Japanese green tea with roasted rice called genmaicha just for the taste and to keep warm during the winter season. I liked the taste of it and I knew that drinking too much coffee would be bad for me.

Throughout my whole life I’ve been struggling with belly fat although I was super skinny everywhere else, I was like a man with a beer gut.

I started drinking about 5-15 cups a day and I shrank around 5 inches off my waist without diet or exercise in about a month and even during the feast from Christmas.

I’ve also been trying many different facial creams to combat aging. One that costs up to 100$. It worked slightly but after drinking the Green Tea for around a month, my skin looks 10 years younger and all the lines disappeared literally. My friend told me that my face is glowing and very even. She’s very envious.

I’ve also been struggling with ups and downs. I would get depressed easily but ever since drinking green tea I’ve been happy and stable.

I look easily under 19 now although I’m nearing 28 all because I’ve been drinking Genmaicha from Japan. I believe that’s how many Japanese people stay young and thin.

I thought I should share this with everyone. Has anyone else seen these effects as well?

I’ve been drinking close to 5-15 cups a day. Genmaicha has the least amount of caffeine in all non herbal teas.
viva_la_semona: You should talk to your doctor first. I don’t think it’s harmful, it’s a health drink, nothing bad comes from it but caffeine. Genmaicha has hardly any caffeine but make sure you talk to your parents and doctor before you start drinking tons. A cup a day shouldn’t hurt, it’s less caffeine than coke. But at your age, you shouldn’t be concerned about losing weight. You’re body is still in development and if you do stuff unnaturally to lose weight, you might develop wrong and in turn have a harder time with losing weight once you’re an adult.

Well, I’m 5’47 and 116 pounds. I already have my fixed fiber diet, gym exercises, cardio and jogging stuff. I want to loose 6 pounds or at least get 6-packed and instead have bigger breasts within a month (I can’t have hormone pills, I’m sensitive, I’m 21) I hate sweets and actually sweet or salty things so I never have them, I just love that 90% chocolates. I barely drink soda or have French fries; I even drink herbal tea like green tea and fennel water to avoid bloating because I eat a lot of fiber. To be perfectly honest with you I want to tattoo the upper part of my body and specially my tummy for my graduation party, and knowing that I’m a hairdresser and make up professional too, I’ve got to be Num1.Some say smoking for a while will hydrate my body and ill loose a couple of pounds non-permanently, some say yoga will help, and yesterday I just read that 200 sit-ups per day will cause 6-pack in 1 month but I really don’t have time for 200 sit ups a day!! I’m a working girl.Thanks.

I’ve begun trying to lose weight again but I need to know, is my diet changes a good one?

Breakfast :
100% Cranberry Juice or Herbal Tea
Whole Grain Cereal -OR- Toast (All Grain)

Lunch :
Water/Herbal Tea
Sandwich with Turkey/Cheese/Pepperoni
OR Sub (Half) with mostly Lettuce/Chicken and Light Oil

Dinner :
Once a week Chinese food
Meat/Vegetables

Dessert : Celery with peanut butter and raisins OR One oatmeal cookie Snacks in between are either a handful of raisins or celery/carrots

If I have to go out or I’m on the road, I’ll have some fast food but I try to drink water with it or just get a salad. I also exercise ever day (crunches and sit ups as well as aerobic exercises and dance) for about an hour or 30 minutes. and once in a GREAT while, I’ll have a soda. I mostly drink if not water or Herb Tea, Arizona and Sobe just to give some flavour. This is coming from a diet of ALL RAMEN, ALL SODA, MOSTLY FAST FOOD! I never had fruits or vegetables before!! Good diet change?

I am suffering from IBS and are sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am currently on daily medications, a strict diet, and I am now exercising daily. The flare-ups are much fewer and far between but it is not totally gone yet. I tried some natural remedies before but they did not work for me. I tried Caltrate tablets, Pepermint softgels, chinese herb tea, fiber supplements, and Aloe Vera Softgels and I am still sick. Is there anything out there that I have not tried that really works?
