So, I’ve lost 1 stone/14lbs already (although it’s taken quite a long time to do this) and I’d still like to lose another 2 stone. I was considering taking on a vegan diet with a ‘cheat’ day where I can eat what I like. However, to have more variety in my diet I’m not going to do this. Instead, here is what I’m thinking:

Breakfast – 1 slice of wholemeal toast with marmite on and a banana OR a smoothie made of 1 banana, frozen berries and fruit juice

Lunch – A salad with balsamic vinegar on and some mixed nuts

Dinner – Chicken or steamed fish, brown rice or new potatoes and lots of veggies

For snacks, which I wouldn’t eat many anyway, nuts or fruit.

Drinks throughout the day would be black or herbal tea, water and fruit juice.

Then I’ll allow myself a treat once a day whether it’s a soda, a biscuit or a treatsized chocolate or something.

What do you think?

This diet is teamed with exercise 3 times a week and walking everyday.

I’m 17, 5′3, 164lbs/11stone10.
No need to judge, I understand I’m not skinny.

I went on a diet almost two years ago where i was eating 1500 calories a day and exercising between 30 minutes to an hour a day (mostly cardio, but also some yoga and a little bit of mild strength training). I drank water almost exclusively (aside from the occasional black coffee or herbal tea). After 3 months, I hadn’t lost but 5 pounds and gave up.
I didn’t try to lose weight again until a few months ago, when I started eating more vegetables and lots of turkey sandwiches instead of burgers. I lost a couple pounds over a few months, but many changes took place in my life and I have since had a change of lifestyle concerning food. I work two jobs and commute 30 minutes to work one of them and 2 hours when I visit my boyfriend. I have very limited time at home any given day of the week – mostly just to sleep – and I find myself eating a granola bar for breakfast, a lunchable for lunch, and fast food (if anything at all) for dinner, with snacks in between (though these are usually rice cakes). Needless to say, I have gained weight and am now looking to shed it. I feel as though counting calories could be effective for me, but perhaps I was choosing to eat the wrong foods. My availability to exercise now is much more limited, so I will be relying on dieting more heavily than before. My question to you is what are some good food options for someone like me? If you have a sample menu that’d be great. Thanks all!

If you have anything rude or inappropriate to say, I will report you.

Basically i really really need to lose weight. I was thinking of having:

breakfast- muesli with some semi skimmed milk and coffee with semi skimmed milk

evening- herbal tea

no snacks and just water to drink. Maybe I’ll have one small cappacino in a coffee shop when I go out every now and again!
lunch- bowl of fruit and a cup of tea with skimmed milk
(example of fruit bowl: apple, banana and a plum)
dinner- whatever my mum cooks me for dinner, I’ll have to eat it all but it’s usually healthy

Lunch: 1 grilled chicken breast, chick peas in tomato sauce.
Snacks: Fruit Salad
[[ I went walking for an hour ]]

i’m craving chicken and broccolli from chinese food, a hot dog, chocolate chip cookies, a big chocolate caramel bar, a twix bar, a huge bag of onion and garlic chips, and a big iced tea.

i’ve been on a diet for about a week and lost like 3 pounds so far.

PROBLEM :
i’m suddenly allergic to caffeine, and i get really bad panic attacks when i have caffeine/sugar/greasy food, so bad i have to go to the hospital, so i can’t have a small chocolate bar or a couple of cookies to ease my craving. but i’m craving it SO BAD!!!!!! but i can’t. do oatmeal cookies have caffeine? also, do you think m&m’s peanuts have caffeine? like a lot of it? theres barely any chocolate in it.

what kind of JUNK FOOD can i eat? FOOD!! and SNACKS!! i really need a cheat day. i’m going crazy.

breakfast: scrambled eggs with bacon or cereal with milk and a sip of coffee.

snack: 5 cheezballs, chips, cookies or biscuits & cheese

drink: horlicks (its a barley and malt nourishing drink) with whole milk.

dinner: whatever we’re having (either chinese takeout or pizza or veggie casserole). Sometimes we just feed the dog cooked white rice with tea (her fave)

dessert: when he have dessert, either ice cream or small bits of chocolate or cake.

She’s a large lab mix, if it makes a difference.
but he doesn’t feed it a lot of snacks and dessert. and my dog hates kibble!
everyone says my dog is going to die at 7, but my male mix who is fed the same is alive at 14.

I’m in the media business – I sing and am trying to get into modeling. Doing the crunches and running has been seeming to help, and I’m also on a diet herbal tea. I don’t eat foods with fat, or low fat. I am a vegetarian and eat about 2 meals a day plus some snacks. Is this even healthy though? I’m 18, and my friend seems to just be skinny…without even trying (working out at all or watching what she eats). Why do I have to run until I pass out to lose just a small amount of fat? Shouldn’t it just go away as muscle builds? All I want is to be skinny and beautiful.

But for now, I’d just like to know if what I’m doing is healthy. If you’d like pictures my myspace is
myspace.com/afantasticfever.

and don’t drill me about being a vegetarian. I know it’s fine, and I get wayy too much protein from soy.

Thanks for you help!
I don’t weight myself, I just go by hip measurements. I figure muscle weighs more than fat.
Lol, that is one of my favourite songs! =)

And maybe its been a week that now i pee like 5 or 6 times a day. I have no idea if i have lost weight cos im living alone in another country, i just dont have lots of things!
So, is it normal?
