Hello everyone, I have written several questions on here about loosing weight. But I am tired of being fat. I want to be skinny and look fabulous and not run out of breathe easily at the gym. First of all I have been eating really, really shi**y the past few weeks. I have been eating ice-cream, fried food, chinese food, and processed salty food. I am ready to start making better choices, and change my life and diet permanently. For liquids I will only be drinking unsweetened tea, tons of water, and some juice (when I say some juice I mean less than a cup a day). For food I am going to try to eat only: Fresh fruits, fresh vegtables, lots of nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts, etc.), dried fruit, very low calorie dressings (for salads), and perhaos brown rice. My plan is to do this diet/lifestyle for 2 weeks (and I will be treating myself only once a week, like 1 scoop of ice-cream/week) and after those two weeks I am going to start the lemonade cleanse and do that cleanse for 15-20 days. And then as soon as I am done with the cleanse I am going to eat only fresh fruit and vegtables, nuts, and dried fruit while treating myself ONLY once a week. I also workout 5-6 days a week for atleast an hour. Does this sound healthy, and will this work? Thankyou.

i read in a article:
How to Do the Master Cleanse

In a nutshell, the Master Cleanse is this:

* The diet takes at least 10 days (up to 40 days, the period of time that Jesus fasted after his baptism, as Burroughs points out)
* The only nourishment that you take is a special lemonade concoction made from lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water, six to twelve glasses per day, each glass containing about 110 calories in sugar carbohydrates
* An herbal laxative tea is drunk at night and a quart of salt water is drunk first thing in the morning, resulting in several liquid bowel movements every day — you need to always be near a toilet when you do this diet, and you need to stock up on toilet paper
* You come off the diet by transitioning to solid food over a few days, ideally becoming a raw food vegetarian in Stanley Burroughs’ version of the diet

Can I just drink only the special lemonade..not the salt water or herbal laxative tea?

and still lose weight?

Are there any pre-diet preparations i need make before i begin this diet/detox?
How exactly am i to make the lemonade/pepper drink?
How long do you think i should continue the detox? (Given the health risks involved)
Ive heard of some sort of Laxative herbal tea that im supposed to drink (or salt mixed with water) but what exactly is this herbal drink and the name for it when purchasing in the shops?
And by cayenne pepper does it mean the stuff you get in the little herb pots or freshly ground stuff that you have made?

BTW please dont preach the health effects and dangers of this detox/diet as im perfectly aware and am willing to accept the possible effects.

Thanks very much for any help :)

So the Master Cleanse Diet is a detox diet you are suppose to go on for 10 days. It pretty much consists of only drinking this lemonade drink (with cayenne pepper and maple syrup), lots of water, and herbal tea if you must. It sounds like starving…I dont want to do that…but it seems to have a lot of good reviews. People even say they feel better, empowered, afterward. As opposed to tired and starved.

I was thinking of alternating this diet a bit and incorporating some raw veggies and some fruit once or twice a day so I am not totally dying.

Any opinions?
