olive oil & sunflower oil
sea salt

I have added back in the following in moderation:

Glucose powder

Drink: water or herbal teas

I’m having a hard time coming up with different dishes to eat. Any suggestions or tips greatly appreciated!

well being active is a basis, especially when it comes to walking, running, swimming and cycling- would it also help to slim down thighs? because i do not want to build up muscles.
I also drink a lot of mineral water, green tea and other herbal teas. I have heard massage helps a lot too, so i try to do it regularly. I eat lost of vegetables and fruits.
what else could help to reduce cellulite and slim down my thighs? can anyone recommend any other tips that worked for you?

Relieve Hormonal Symptoms of Menopause with a natural food diet. Looking for more natural ways to help with the symptoms of menopause? Many herbal remedies can relieve and even eliminate the common symptoms of these conditions.

During menopause, women often experience uncomfortable symptoms. Hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, irregular, changes in bleeding and loss of sexual desire are some of the most common. Recently, studies have shown that hormone replacement therapy is not as safe as originally believed, so many women are looking to natural remedies with a great deal of success.

Black coho sh has been used for centuries to help women with menopausal symptoms, and is most effective in treating hot flashes. It seems to have some ability to mimic estrogen in the body, relieving the hot flashes and mood swings that plague so many women.

Limiting caffeine will help with your symptoms as well. Herbal teas, and using onion, garlic and lemon instead of salt should help as well. One study at UCLA noted that garlic halted the advance of heart disease in post-menopausal women.

Soy, shown to be beneficial in so many areas, helps with menopausal symptoms as well. Soy has a natural estrogen-like compound that helps balance hormones. Chickpeas, lentils and tofu will provide the same benefits. Complex carbohydrates like brown rice will also help regulate the amount of estrogen in your system.

Ensuring that you are receiving a sufficient amount of essential fatty acids by eating oils, nuts, seeds and oily fish will help relieve vaginal dryness and keep the skin supple.

More and more women are seeking alternative therapies for symptoms of menopause. Try these simple and natural food remedies today.

if so, did it work? I thinking about talking to my doctor about Rifaximin. I’ve suffered from IBS symptoms for 8 years now. I’ve tried diet, probiotics, herbal teas, exercise, stress reduction, increasing fluids, laxatives; you name it. ( o _ 0 )

well im relatively slim and ive lost ten pounds recently, but only a little has come off my tummy. I’ve always had a sticky out tummy, the bottom bit mainly, but if i lose much more weight ill be eight stone and i dont want to get too skinny? its a bit of a pain because its not very attractive obviously, and when i stand sideways i can see an outline of where the flat bit would be, if that makes sense? dont say its my body type and not changeable, because i know thats a lie. Is there any herbal teas or something i need to drink? or any exercises, without making me too muscly? thankss x

I’ve always been a nervous pooer, and since moving away to University, i’ve been finding it even more difficult to go to the bathroom.
I eat a very balanced diet, including lots of fruit and vegetables, but nothing has worked, and I’ve had to resort to taking laxatives and drinking lots of herbal teas before bed.

What kind of damage (if any) am I doing to my body?

I’ve had eczema on my hands and arms for almost 6 years now. I’ve tried a billion different things: Lotions, creams, diets, herbal teas, doctor prescribed eczema creams.. but none of them seemed to work. So for the past year, I completely lost hope and did nothing at all to try to get rid it. To my surprise, my eczema slowly disappeared! It was almost all gone, until just last week when it came back again. I didn’t do anything different, it just came back on its own. Now it’s worse than it’s ever been! Why is that?

Also, the places on my skin where the eczema is happens to be a lot lighter than my skin is, which makes it stand out that much more. It’s quite embarrassing. Is there any way to fix that?

This is what i found you do for 7 days.

1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped
2 large onions, chopped
16-28 ounces canned tomatoes, chopped
2 green peppers
4 stalks celery
1-2 packages Lipton onion soup mix, or any dry onion soup mix (optional)
black pepper
any fresh herb(s) of your choice, chopped
6 carrots, sliced
1/2 pound green beans, sliced on diagonal
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (optional)
Put all vegetables in a big pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, stir in the soup mix (if desired), and boil gently for 10 minutes. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Stir in the black pepper and chopped herbs (saving some for garnish).
Eat as much of the soup as you like, as often as you like. Drink as much water as you like and non-caloric drinks including coffee, tea, and herbal teas.

Here’s what else you can eat, and when:

DAY 1: All fruits except bananas.

DAY 2: All vegetables, raw or cooked. This includes baked potato with a LITTLE butter.

DAY 3: Fruits and vegetables, but no potatoes or bananas.

DAY 4: Bananas and skim milk–eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many as 8 glasses of skim milk.

DAY 5: Beef, skinless chicken, and/or fish–as much as 20 ounces, total. You can also eat 6 tomatoes. And you must drink 8 glasses of water. Don’t forget at least one bowl of soup.

DAY 6: Beef, skinless chicken, or fish and vegetables. Drink 8 glasses of water and eat at least one bowl of soup.

DAY 7: Brown rice, vegetables, and unsweetened fruit juice
Has anybody been on it and have you lost weight?

I’m 17 and I desperately need to cure this sleep problem going on for a yr before it continues and ruins my life even further.
I tried milk.
Melatonin pills.
Exercise/activities.
Positive thinking because I’m scared that I will die in my sleep and never wake up.
Dark cool room.
Healthy diet.
Herbal teas and other flower cures for sleep.
I feel mostly depressed at night.
I need a nice deep refreshing sleep like I used to. Why doesn’t anything work? Anyone overcome this annoying disorder?

I would like to lose some weight. I’m 150lbs (70kg) and want to be about 120lbs (55kg)…

How can I go on a diet, like having fruit during the day, and having a big green leafy salad for supper, plenty water, etc….but without missing my favourite foods? Or sometimes you just missing having your latte with biscotti, or muffin. and all these seemingly ‘innocent’ things tend to render most diets ineffectual! :-)

So, what’s the trick? Herbal teas? What are low calorie ‘comfort foods’??? (if there’s such a thing? )

Thanks in advance

What are some things you do/use, or recipes you use that help you stay on your diet? My 2 favorite are:

1. Drinking flavored herbal teas throughout the day prevents cravings and tastes so much better than water
2. Egg whites are the best diet food ever. Only 15 calories each and full of protein. I eat 3 scrambled egg whites and 1 slice reduced fat cheese melted on top- under 100 calories! It is soo filling.
3. Adding fresh garlic to salads adds so much flavor and taste that VERY minimal dressing is needed.

I started drinking Japanese green tea with roasted rice called genmaicha just for the taste and to keep warm during the winter season. I liked the taste of it and I knew that drinking too much coffee would be bad for me.

Throughout my whole life I’ve been struggling with belly fat although I was super skinny everywhere else, I was like a man with a beer gut.

I started drinking about 5-15 cups a day and I shrank around 5 inches off my waist without diet or exercise in about a month and even during the feast from Christmas.

I’ve also been trying many different facial creams to combat aging. One that costs up to 100$. It worked slightly but after drinking the Green Tea for around a month, my skin looks 10 years younger and all the lines disappeared literally. My friend told me that my face is glowing and very even. She’s very envious.

I’ve also been struggling with ups and downs. I would get depressed easily but ever since drinking green tea I’ve been happy and stable.

I look easily under 19 now although I’m nearing 28 all because I’ve been drinking Genmaicha from Japan. I believe that’s how many Japanese people stay young and thin.

I thought I should share this with everyone. Has anyone else seen these effects as well?

I’ve been drinking close to 5-15 cups a day. Genmaicha has the least amount of caffeine in all non herbal teas.
viva_la_semona: You should talk to your doctor first. I don’t think it’s harmful, it’s a health drink, nothing bad comes from it but caffeine. Genmaicha has hardly any caffeine but make sure you talk to your parents and doctor before you start drinking tons. A cup a day shouldn’t hurt, it’s less caffeine than coke. But at your age, you shouldn’t be concerned about losing weight. You’re body is still in development and if you do stuff unnaturally to lose weight, you might develop wrong and in turn have a harder time with losing weight once you’re an adult.

My Mom suffers from RLS and is up during the night with it. Does anyone know of any good herbal teas that help calm the legs? Because of her diet (HCG) she can not eat bananas so we’re trying the herbal (caffeine free) route.

1. Can I make a large batch for the day and leave it in fridge? some reports say to make it as you go? that seems inconvient.
2. are the laxatives "necessary"? what are the side effects of not using them?
3. Is there a big difference in using tap water or unfiltered water?
4. are all Herbal Teas ok as long as they are decaf?
5. is it true this diet can kill you?

Tips and hints are also appreciated. :) thanks!

I really prefer black tea to herbal, and I can’t stand green, chamomile or peppermint tea. But I don’t want the caffeine in my diet. So can anyone suggest any teas that taste similar to black tea but with no (or less) caffeine? Are there any that are designed to have strong with a little milk, because that’s how I like mine, and I know herbal teas generally don’t go well with milk.

And can anyone describe to me what white tea tastes like?

I have been considering migrating my vegan diet over to that of a fruitarian for quite some time now. My only concern is that I often fast spiritually on water and green tea, and I’m not sure if I will be able to continue to drink green tea while practicing a fruitarain lifestyle. I’m aware that I can fast with juices, but my personal, and spiritual preference is to drink only water (sometimes with lemon juice) and green tea. Is it acceptable to continue doing this? In all my research so far I haven’t read anything about green, or other herbal teas.
