Ok, not fat but can it make you saggy? I am slim but I was in better shape a few months ago before I started drinking LOADS of herbal tea? I drink one green tea when I wake up (freshly brewed, no sugar) then throughout the day I drink camomile or dandelion or peppermint. Is it possible that the tea is to blame for me losing some of my muscle definition? My diet is relatively healthy and I go running nearly everyday for about 20-30 mins. I drink a lot of water but I’ve substituted some of my usual mineral water for the tea, so proportionally drinking less plain water lately.
what is ”pes”????

fyi I weigh 132 and am 5′7

Is it true about oolong and green tea. I have read .org websites that claims it works. Does it help to shed unwanted pounds, my uncle lives in Hapan and he says it works. I just need other asians (chinese/japaneese) opinions.

How much wait can it take off with proper dieting and exercise!

I started drinking Japanese green tea with roasted rice called genmaicha just for the taste and to keep warm during the winter season. I liked the taste of it and I knew that drinking too much coffee would be bad for me.

Throughout my whole life I’ve been struggling with belly fat although I was super skinny everywhere else, I was like a man with a beer gut.

I started drinking about 5-15 cups a day and I shrank around 5 inches off my waist without diet or exercise in about a month and even during the feast from Christmas.

I’ve also been trying many different facial creams to combat aging. One that costs up to 100$. It worked slightly but after drinking the Green Tea for around a month, my skin looks 10 years younger and all the lines disappeared literally. My friend told me that my face is glowing and very even. She’s very envious.

I’ve also been struggling with ups and downs. I would get depressed easily but ever since drinking green tea I’ve been happy and stable.

I look easily under 19 now although I’m nearing 28 all because I’ve been drinking Genmaicha from Japan. I believe that’s how many Japanese people stay young and thin.

I thought I should share this with everyone. Has anyone else seen these effects as well?

I’ve been drinking close to 5-15 cups a day. Genmaicha has the least amount of caffeine in all non herbal teas.
viva_la_semona: You should talk to your doctor first. I don’t think it’s harmful, it’s a health drink, nothing bad comes from it but caffeine. Genmaicha has hardly any caffeine but make sure you talk to your parents and doctor before you start drinking tons. A cup a day shouldn’t hurt, it’s less caffeine than coke. But at your age, you shouldn’t be concerned about losing weight. You’re body is still in development and if you do stuff unnaturally to lose weight, you might develop wrong and in turn have a harder time with losing weight once you’re an adult.

hey(:

im 14, 5′3 and 115 pounds
and thats pretty fat for a 5′3 girl.

so anyway…about 3 weeks ago i lost 15 pounds in a week.

heres what i did.

drink green tea (yes from the chinese store) in the morning
eat an apple at 2pm
eat a kiwi at 5pm
drink green tea till i go to bed.
and excerise
and no eating after 6pm..

so after a hel of a week i lost 15 pounds.
it was hard..i kept seeing all black and felt like fainting all the time..i was very weak..couldnt do anything..

so after that week i had to go to camp with the youth from my church.
and so i went.
they gave out a LOT of good food..i couldnt stand itt..so i ate..
and at campfire i ate too!

so then when i got home i checked how much i weigh..
108. i couldnt believe it! in 4 days!
so then i didnt go on a diet..i still ate..
now i still weigh 115 pounds..so yup i put all that weight back in 4 weeks..
now i realized what a mistake i made..how stupid i was…
the best thing is to NOT get FAT in the first place..
eat only 3 times a day and stay the same weight…
its better than to starve like that..

i learned that being healthy is more important..

and dont starve yourself like that bcuz then when u eat again..u start eating everything bcuz u missed all the glorious food..

It’s 2 AM, I’m bloated, got a massive headache, my eyes are so puffy I can barely keep them open, and I can’t sleep – but I feel physically exhausted.

I ate some Kung Pao Chicken earlier today from Panda Express, and I know Chinese food is high in sodium. I actually didn’t even eat that much of it but I figured they probably cook with soy sauce, which contains massive sodium in a single teaspoon.

I drank some Arizona Diet Green Tea afterward because I know Vitamin C is a diuretic, and I think it helped a little. But just before bed, I drank some more water and then I felt even more bloated! Does drinking more water after excess sodium intake worsen the symptoms?

Anyways, I know this type of bloating is only temporary but I just wanted to know for future reference what the best solution would be?

Here is everything I am taking: Milk Thistle, CLA, Multi-Vitamin, Herbal Regularity Laxatives, Omega 3 Fish Oils, Green Tea Extract with Hoodia, and a Cleansing Fiber Blend. Couldn’t I technically just be eating foods with these amounts? My medical study says I can’t take herbal supplements but I don’t know if they would test if I am taking them. Would it disturb any of my blood levels? Thanks.

Hello! Tradicionally, Chinese considered using forks and knives at the table barbaric, because they were considered weapons. It was also impolite to have guests work to cut their own food. Also in China, meat, oil, and sugar are luxuries not consumed regularly by a majority of the population. Only the rich are able to have these in their diets. Because of this, the spread of Western fast-food restaurant chains such as McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken is bringing obesity to richer families. Although some Chinese food has incorporated Western tastes, most aspects of Chinese cuisine are still passed down generation to generation, untouched. Today I’ve brought Chinese tea leaf eggs. They are made using just hard-boiled eggs, green tea, and soy sauce.

Haha this is very weird out of context, but I appreciate any replies!

Well, I’m 5’47 and 116 pounds. I already have my fixed fiber diet, gym exercises, cardio and jogging stuff. I want to loose 6 pounds or at least get 6-packed and instead have bigger breasts within a month (I can’t have hormone pills, I’m sensitive, I’m 21) I hate sweets and actually sweet or salty things so I never have them, I just love that 90% chocolates. I barely drink soda or have French fries; I even drink herbal tea like green tea and fennel water to avoid bloating because I eat a lot of fiber. To be perfectly honest with you I want to tattoo the upper part of my body and specially my tummy for my graduation party, and knowing that I’m a hairdresser and make up professional too, I’ve got to be Num1.Some say smoking for a while will hydrate my body and ill loose a couple of pounds non-permanently, some say yoga will help, and yesterday I just read that 200 sit-ups per day will cause 6-pack in 1 month but I really don’t have time for 200 sit ups a day!! I’m a working girl.Thanks.

Ok all if you read my previous question then you know what this is all about. But I just wanted to know if there is a possibility of the morning after pill not working. I took the Plan B the morning after the condom broke. I was also taking this diet pill called Mega T which is a herbal green tea diet pill. Does anyone know why the Plan B didn’t work? Was it because I was taking the herbal diet pill or what? I need some answers anyone please. Thanks for your help. By the way I have decided to keep the baby.

I am new with low carb and it has been 2 weeks or so since I am on this diet. Today I had one bunch of broccoli and a cup of spinach and one egg, does that affects my dieting plan? I mean because I had green stuffs?

more on my diet, for the last weeks, I had nothing but three eggs a day and green tea. I lose 12 in one week and a half. Then after i started getting really weak and expermenting changes, I broke the diet for one day after the first week and a half and had fruits, tuna, and dates. Then I started again on three eggs, but yesterday with chinese new year, I ordered chicken wing and other fishy stuffs, and there were so sauce and other stuffs that I added and back at home my taiwanese roommate made a lot of foods, so I had variety of cooked meat, egg and fish. Are those gonna affect my diet?

Overall am starting to eat a healthy diet with lots of fiber, fruits and veggies, some fish, portioned meats, no sodas, vitamin supps, lots of green tea and water, low salts, sugars, and trans fat. I know I can have rare cheat meals but if i stay within the limits say within 20 g of saturated fat and a 2000 calorie diet; is it ok to eat 2 slices of pizza or chinese for dinner but eat good throughout the day and excercise as well.

I feel so much better when I drink green tea, I just started incorporating it to my diet and it just gives me a huge energy boost. I dont even have to force myself to drink it anymore. I also dont use the chinese one, i use lipton so i know its healthy and theres nothing there to get me addicted.
It’s just so good, like a week ago I used to despise it but I have a cold and it made it so much better.

Is this good?

Here is my daily diet:

Breakfast: cornflakes, rainsens, peanuts, one banana, and curd; one cup of coffee or green tea (with one lemon); one multivitamin, one Brahmi capsule, one gram of Omega-3

Lunch: salad with garlic bread

snack: carrot or banana with peanut butter; or saltless popcorn

Dinner: Egg and veg. chowmien (made with extra virgin olive oil and veg. noodles); one Brahmi capsule

I also drink green tea or Tibetan herbal tea throughout the day, I excercise for 30 minutes each day, and I try to keep a regular sleep schedule of 8+ hours nightly. I’m in my late twenties, and I have no known health problems. The reason why I post is because I was formerly deaf (for 17 years of my life) until I had a tympanolpasty skin graft which increased my hearing by 30+ decibles; so I know first-hand how horrible life can be if just one small part of the body malfunctions.

All advise welcome!

P.s. – Any recommended herbals?
I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m actually a bratwurst-loving guy… The reason why meat is scant in my diet is because I’m in India and I’m up in the mountains (away from town), so it’s difficult for me to get. I will definitely now make an effort to put more in my diet. I’ll also be replacing peanuts with cashews, trying to eat a larger variety of fruits, drinking more water, etc.

Any more suggestions?

All right, so I’m just trying to be healthy in what I eat and fitness-wise for summer. I’m also trying to speed up my metabolism (although it’s moderately fast at the moment) and well… I suppose I just want to have clear arteries and lasting energy as I am an impossibly early riser and cannot help but go to bed quite late ;)

Anyway…
I’m 14, 5"1 and I weigh around 48 kg (106 pounds) which is a good, fit, healthy weight for my age, and compared to most girls in my year who are 56 kg or so on average…

Today, as I am trying to space out my meals a bit as it is better for digestion, this is what I ate:

—Breakfast: Small bowl of muesli with yoghurt and two peach slices. A cup of Chinese green tea.
—Recess: An natural oats granola bar, a small watermelon and rock-melon salad and a carrot.
—Lunch: Half a carrot and philadelphia Lite sandwich and a small green apple.
—Dinner: Cup of Chinese green tea. Tuna, pasta and cheese bake.*

*Half an hour jog following, 10 or so crunches and a couple of yoga poses.

ANYHOW… So, I just want to know whether this is a good routine, whether I should cut anything out/add anything in, exercise included etc. etc…
…Also, some nights I go for a quick swim.

Thanks in advance!

****PS I did gymnastics for 5 years so I am quite muscular in some areas, especially my thighs — they are not quite noticeably large but they are quite bulky. Is there a possible way to slim them down? I know its not feasible to target one part of the body in exercise, but I did hear that swimming does the trick…

Thanks again!

I’m talking about authentic food, not Wong’s takeout, Ray’s Pizza, or Taco bell…I mean, you always see these people having relatives who eat their food live up to be very old…but which is the healthiest in your opinion?

(correct me if i’m wrong on these)

Chinese: heavy use of vegetables (meat is usually not the main course) and some fish. Green tea, ginger, and rice all consumed regularly. Diary not very popular.

Italian: lots of tomatoes in food which boosts immunity, fish, diary for strong bones from chesses/milk, wine

Mexican: …beans? i dunno much about authentic mexican food…but it seems healthy doesnt it?

My mom saw this remedy on TV where you use real green tea herbs, cinnamon and other spices and mix them together with water to make this tea. There are no artificial flavorings, or sugar what so ever. It’s all free herbs and such. It claims that you lose weight. I started using it and I did lose weight and people are also noticing that I did. This herbal tea does not reduce appetite, nor does it do anything to your metabolism. I exercise and maintain my diet as well, but I feel like the tea helped me lose weight faster. Do you think this is correct? Can herbal tea really help lose weight, or is it all psychological?

I have been considering migrating my vegan diet over to that of a fruitarian for quite some time now. My only concern is that I often fast spiritually on water and green tea, and I’m not sure if I will be able to continue to drink green tea while practicing a fruitarain lifestyle. I’m aware that I can fast with juices, but my personal, and spiritual preference is to drink only water (sometimes with lemon juice) and green tea. Is it acceptable to continue doing this? In all my research so far I haven’t read anything about green, or other herbal teas.

Would I possibly get the same or close to the same results with drinking green tea? Along with diet and exercise of course. But is there something special in the other teas or could the same be done with the green tea?

I was researching the types of slimming teas. Oolong teas and the others have no calories, no sodium, no carbs, no protien – same goes for the green tea.
