In an effort to improve my diet, I would like to replace coffee with herbal tea, which I read was a lot healthier. Problem is, I hate the taste of tea. So I was hoping something like peach herbal tea is a good place to start, but thought I would ask those who actually drink the stuff.

Thanks for your help : )

I am an 18 year old male. I have had quite bad acne for about 4 or 5 years now. I have tried almsot every medicine and cream there is except accutane and I dont want to take it. I get painful boils on my neck and sometimes on my face. They can get quite big (up to an inch long) and I can feel either liquid inside them or a hard lump. Chinese herbal tea helped to reduce the swelling but did not cure them. Sometimes they flare up really badly and it hurts to turn my head, whereas sometimes they die down a bit but they never dissappear completely and when some of them heal up new ones grow somewhere else eventaully. I do get normal white head spots on my face, and my shoulders and chest are also a bit red and lumpy but my neck is the most annoying part. I dont know whether my diet affects them but I have tried a detox drink every morning for 2 weeks and that did help to reduce the swelling.
Does anybody have the same problem or know how to help cure them?
I also get blackheads and loads of these tiny little thick black hairs on my nose. What are they??? And please dont suggest things like clearasil or antibiotics I clearly need something much more stronger and that works from the inside also

I’m on day four of the master cleanse (lemonade diet) and i’ve only had one BM. Ive looked for organic teas that read laxative on the labels and i found nothing. but i stumbled across detox tea…and figured it would work the same…since the cleanse IS a detox. However, im supposed to have several BM to cleanse my system and i’ve only had one. I’m afraid i’ve wasted all this time already…does being only 18 have something to do it? maybe i just dont have as many toxins in my body? I dont know, but im nervous. Will someone who knows tell me if i’m okay on the detox tea?

I am suffering from IBS and are sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am currently on daily medications, a strict diet, and I am now exercising daily. The flare-ups are much fewer and far between but it is not totally gone yet. I tried some natural remedies before but they did not work for me. I tried Caltrate tablets, Pepermint softgels, chinese herb tea, fiber supplements, and Aloe Vera Softgels and I am still sick. Is there anything out there that I have not tried that really works?

I mean if you do this for 10 days I know you can’t eat. I know Herbal Tea is involved. But what about drinking water in between. Is that OK? I was informed that this was ok to do prior to starting a real diet/exercise routine? and not a easy solution to a loose weight. that is just insane

as background, I’m young and slim, my BMI is around 19-19.5, I run 2-4 miles about three times a week, I have a very healthy diet. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, herbal tea and water, and very little processed food or high sodium food.
however, my lower abdomen, not my stomach, is almost always bloated. I honestly look 3-4 months pregnant a lot of the time. When I wake up in the morning, its pretty flat. Theres a small bulge but nothing significant. Before class, today for example, I ate a banana, a small yogurt, and unsweetened tea. a few hours later i ate an orange and an unsweetened herbal tea. that’s all I’ve had so far today and I’ve gained at least 5 inches on my waist. Also, I’ve urinated 2 or 3 times already today, so the water I’ve been drinking has been being flushed out.

I’ve tried cutting out foods that tend to cause irritation to some people, like dairy (though today i had yogurt) and wheat, and there’s been no difference. I drink plenty of water, if not 8 glasses at least 6 every day. the only time it seems that I am not extremely bloated is when I’ve been sick or hungover and throwing up (and I’m also extremely dehydrated).

why is my abdomen always so bloated? is there anything I can do to prevent this?

I have been through every diet pill there is, and I do know of a few that work very well. I have had another type of Chinese tea that helped me lose weight, I was just wondering if anyone has personally experienced change in their figure from drinking Wu-Yi Source Tea? It has been advertised on the news, talk shows, etc.. but does it really work?

Serious answers are appreciated!

I’ve taken a few graduate classes and we’ve touched on the theories of hot foods, cold foods, etc, especially in relation to eating to assist in healing of illness. Such as eating hot-type foods when you have a cold-type illness.

I’d love to get more details beyond my notes, but I haven’t found a good resource. (Not to mention I’ve lost my professor’s email address!) I want to know more about the classification of foods. Even better, I’d love a reference which includes common imbalances and what to eat for them.

I’m not about to get into deep TCM herbal treatments, I’ve got too many western books on that subject and it is better left for those with full training. I’d just like to know when to drink some ginger tea or avoid spicy foods. Thanks in advance.

I agreed with my dad that I’d have chinese with him tonight, as I don’t want to be a spoilsport (plus, chinese once in a while= yummy).

However, as I’m on a diet, I was wondering wish dish has the lowest calories? I have a 600 calorie maximum for my tea tonight (I’m on slimfast) so any ideas? I will probably eat half today, and put the rest in the fridge, as the portions are quite large.
*which dish, not wish dish lol

I am curious what you all think, this is my diet plan for the next month,

1 Drink skim milk and wheat toast with natural peanut butter for breakfast. Take your multivitamin supplement, and weight loss pill.

2 Do your stretching exercises and cycle for 30 mins.

3 three times a week do your strength training which includes
Lunges, Planks, and Push ups.

4 Eat Cabbage soup diet plan for lunch and dinner.
At lunch time take your calcium and weight loss pill.

5 Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

6 Drink herbal tea with lemon to relax before bed. And take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

Does that sound like a good meal plan?

After two weeks i am introducing lean fish into the soup at dinner time.
For snacks i was going to add apples and almonds or some kind of nut ^^.

Oh and the cabbage diet, isnt just cabbage so you know, this is what it consists of…

6 large green onions
2 green peppers
1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
3 Carrots
1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
1 bunch of celery
half a head of cabbage
1 package Lipton soup mix
1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.
